The NALCO Nitrite Test Kit is designed with special emphasis on applications where nitrites are used to inhibit corrosion. It can also be used in other nitrite-based processes that require control and monitoring of nitrite concentrations. It is a very simple drop-count titration test that provides high levels of accuracy in a wide variety of waters. The number of drops of titrant needed to reach the endpoint is used to calculate the concentration of nitrite using a simple formula. The kit is does not require the user to have formal analytical training or experience to run.
