Ultrion 8588
Ultrion 8588
Potable Cationic Coagulant.
Approved for addition to drinking water by the Department of Health in Western Australia.
This is a low molecular weight, cationic coagulant recommended for use in industrial raw water clarification; wastewater treatment plants where it is normally used in conjunction with a flocculant; and alkaline wastewater effluents.
Ultrion 8588 eliminates the need for alum or other inorganic coagulants and coagulates more efficiently than alum. It has little or no impact on the water pH, thereby reducing or eliminating the need for pH adjustment, and is effective over a broad pH range. Effective at low temperatures and on both low and high turbidity and alkaline waters. Forms a large, rapid settling floc and effectively removes organic colour.
It is chlorine resistant and can be used in pre-chlorinated systems without a reduction in activity. It reduces sludge volume, saving in sludge disposal and/or dewatering costs.
