Glacial Acetic Acid Food Grade
Glacial Acetic Acid Food Grade
Acetic acid, also known as ethanoic acid, is an organic acid of the carboxylic family with a distinctive pungent, vinegar-like odour. Vinegar is a dilute (approximately 4-5% by volume) solution of acetic acid. Glacial acetic acid is the anhydrous form of acetic acid. Unlike acetic acid, which is considered a weak acid, glacial acetic acid is very corrosive. Acetic is used as a raw material and as a solvent in the production of other chemical products. It is used in the oil & gas sector to help reduce metal corrosion & scale build-up in oil & gas well as well as to improve flow & production of oil & gas. It is also used widely in food and pharmaceutical industries. In food processing plants, it is commonly used as a cleaning and sanitising product.
